3RD GRADE
World Changers
- See how God has moved throughout history as you learn about 32 everyday people who changed the world by using their God-given gifts and talents. Learn about musicians, artists, a baseball player, a businessman, and others — combined with a quick overview of World History.
- The Teacher's Manual includes eighteen 2-4 page engaging history summaries to read aloud — topics such as Ancient Egypt, Ancient Israel, Renaissance Artists, and WWII.
- World maps highlighting significant events in five historical eras are included in the student-created History Notebook.
- Includes easy-to-use daily lesson plans, Bible, history, science, STEM activities, music appreciation and recorder lessons, art appreciation and drawing lessons, inspiring read alouds, and more.
- We are living in a very strategic time in history. Our hope is to inspire children (and those teaching them) to use their unique God-given talents to be salt and light in our world.
- World Changers is intended primarily for 3rd graders and may be used by a 2nd grader, but the content is sufficiently challenging to be used by a 4th grader who has completed Exploring Countries and Cultures. That student would return to the Family Cycle in 5th grade — Creation to the Greeks, Rome to the Reformation, Exploration to 1850, and 1850 to Modern Times.
Does your 3rd grader have older siblings that you teach?
- 2nd or 3rd graders with 4th - 8th grade siblings skip World Changers and join in their siblings' current program in the Family Learning Cycle. This ensures that a parent is only teaching one program for all 2nd - 8th graders.
- Many of the same biographies are included in our 1850 to Modern Times Package in the book Salt and Light.

We are enjoying World Changers immensely. It's a delightful sweep through history, focusing on some very interesting and inspiring people, perfect for 3rd graders. It's so helpful to have “pegs” for kids to attach pieces of information to as they continue to study history more in depth, and World Changers is definitely giving some great memory pegs. We really like the history stories in the teacher's manual — my son listens well, understands, is interested, and can narrate. The science is a lot of fun and age-appropriate. We truly like everything about this program! Thank you for this delightful program!

I have enjoyed the Official Guide to the Marvelous Museum of Salt and Light a lot throughout the year, learning more about people I had heard of before and finding out about some completely new people. After we finished reading aloud the last story, I found my daughter the next day at the breakfast table reading again from the beginning all by herself. We have definitely enjoyed this school year.

I especially like that no subject was too time-consuming. The lessons were laid out in a very Charlotte Mason manner.
Andrea
We loved the Time Machine! Each child had a box big enough to fit in, and they drew control panels, levers, etc.
Danielle
I loved the science and coloring the memory verse cards. I had so many favorite people to learn about, it's hard to pick my favorite. I have at least 5 favorites — no, 10 favorites.
